Research Interests:

I am on the faculty of the Department of Physical Sciences, Virginia Institute of Marine Science, College of William and Mary and serve as the Director of the Chesapeake Bay Virginia National Estuarine Research Reserve. My primary research interest is in the area of watershed hydrology and nutrient dynamics with an emphasis on the study of groundwater-surface water interactions. I am also interested in the development and implementation of atmospheric and coastal water quality monitoring programs and their integration into ocean and coastal observation systems.
