Tony is the Meteorologist in Charge of NOAA’s National Weather Service Forecast Office in Wakefield Virginia. The Wakefield office provides weather and water forecasts for the lower Maryland Eastern Shore, all of central and southeastern Virginia, and northeast North Carolina. The area of coverage includes the Virginia portion of the Chesapeake Bay, the Atlantic coastal waters from Fenwick Island Delaware to Duck North Carolina, and the Currituck Sound. Tony worked at numerous weather offices around the country for the last 27 years, including the National Severe Storms Forecast Center and the National Centers for Environmental Prediction. He has been in charge of the Wakefield office since 1994. His interests include photography and hiking. Tony holds a Masters degree in Meteorology from the University of Wisconsin.
